BLR Technlogies slammed over Craps game

The Costa Rica-based online gambling software developer BLR Technologies is under the internet spotlight this week following player allegations that its online craps game is hopelessly rigged, which odds and statistical experts have confirmed.

The highly respected Wizard of Odds, Mike Shackleford, and Jacobson Gaming’s Eliot Jacobson, have both carried out tests and concluded that BLR’s craps game is definitely not player-friendly, leading Shackleford to observe:

“To put that in perspective, the odds of winning the Powerball Lottery are 1 in 146,107,962. It would be 184 times easier to win the Powerball 2 out of 2 times than to be as unlucky as I was in this craps game.”

The revelations have resulted in growing internet publicity, and at least one operator, 5 Dimes, has dumped the BLR platform. Management issued a statement this week, noting:

“With the present accusations and facts against the BLR casino platform, the 5Dimes group has chosen to remove this casino platform from our multiple casino lineup.

“BLR was given ample time to address the concerns of forum members as well as our direct questions. No acceptable answers were given, so the casino platform was removed.

“A management decision was made to eliminate that casino and focus on expanded offerings with the other casino platforms.”

The player who started it all, clempops4, went to extraordinary lengths to meticulously record his results on both paper and video and warn other players of the danger, once again illustrating the reach and power of the internet.

Certainly his objective presentation of his experience was enough for the experts to test the game in question and come to the same conclusions, vindicating the player’s suspicions.

The Wizard of Odds commented: “Because of the extreme bias in the results I obtained, as well as the consistent bias documented by others, I am warning players against playing at any casino using BLR Technologies software, especially in craps.”

According to internet casino directories, casinos using this software include: Legends Sports and World Wide Wagering. Google searches reveal that there have been previous complaints about the software.

BLR Technologies is headed by Javier Pereira and is based in San Jose, Costa Rica. The company offers a gaming platform featuring sports and casino software. The casino client enables any interface which supports XML Communication including cell phones, handhelds, pocket pcs, etc. Available games include a variety of video poker games, card games, table games, slots and a progressive jackpot on Caribbean Poker.
