Intercasino Review

Intercasino, powered by Cryptologic software, is an online casino giant that has been around for a number of years, in fact, it was one of the very first online casinos around in the late 90's, so they really do have a lot of practical experience under their belts which explains why it is such a well tuned and professionally run organization. And being voted "Top Casino of the Year" by Gambling Online Magazine reader's for three consecutive years now, they enjoy widespread fame throughout the industry.

It's a casino that I have frequented regularly in the past, but with all the new ones springing up lately, I haven't played here for some time, and was delighted at the excuse to pay it another visit and see if it is still worthy of being called the Top Casino of the year.

The casino page still doesn't remind me of a casino somehow, it just lacks the atmosphere that some of the others have but once you get into the content of it, you won't dwell on the lack of aesthetics for long and the current jackpots and recent winners advertising does serve to entice you to look further into what the site has to offer.

Bonuses and Promotional Offerings

Force of habit causes me to always look at the bonus and promotional offerings and then the Player's Clubs of casinos in order to determine the value they place on their players, generally good promotional offerings indicate casinos who consider their players’ needs and the value assigned to these.

Old players get something too! All you have to do is make your first deposit for the month of $25 or more and Intercasino will match 100% up to $100. This is an ongoing monthly promotion which means that you can receive up to $1,200 per year. As usual, wagering requirements are applicable and this offer is subject to a wager of 25x the bonus amount before making any withdrawals.

Another great promotion at Intercasino that I've actually had the pleasure of experiencing in the past is the "Where's Ryan H?" promo. Basically, casino manager Ryan Hartley visits the casino's multi-player tables to give away $50 or spot prizes to players who he meets and says "hi" to. This is not only pretty cool but it's quite hilarious because the minute he sits down at the table you see him being overwhelmed with "Hi's" as people try to get his attention...and every now and again someone comes up with a really original and entertaining way to do that. Currently, if you meet him at any of the Blackjack or new Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker tables, you will get the chance to double your prize by accepting his challenging to a game. He will challenge you to one hand. If you manage to beat his hand you'll win $100. However, if you get dealt a natural Blackjack or make a ‘4 of a kind’ or above for Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker, he'll double it again to $200. So look out for this one, it's a lot of fun and a laugh a minute!

There are also a number of tournaments on offer, coined "Tournamania" which encompass a 20-line Slots, Texas Hold’em and Classic Video Slots ‘Quick Fire’ tournaments. The 20-line slots tournament has a prize of $5,000 while the Texas Hold’em and Classic Video Slots ‘Quick Fire’ tournaments give you the opportunity to win a substantial pot prize ($5 entry gets you in and terms and conditions apply)

In addition to these, there is also a fantastic Marvel Slots competition which is sure to attract all the comic book fans with the great game play, bonus rounds, and the chance to win a share of $5,000. Once again, I'm thoroughly impressed with the high standards maintained by Intercasino in their promotional offerings...they really do know how to attract and keep players playing, giving me an indication of just what to expect from their Player's Club, which I'm already a part of but decided to look over again to refresh my memory.

Players Club

You gain automatic entry into the Intercasino Player's Club from the minute you start playing, there are no hoops to jump through and no registration process which is always a plus. Like most other loyalty programs, you earn cash back for every bet you place through earning Comp points. Each game qualifies you for a different number of points and you get $1 cash back for each 100 points you accumulate. "Comp" points accumulate monthly and are automatically credited to your ECash Direct account on the 25th of each month. (If you have fewer than 2,000 points on the 25th of any month, your points will roll-over into the next month). So it pays you to keep playing!

Which is exactly what I intend to do...and on that note, I was off to get started!

Download and registration

Having played at the casino in the past, I already have the software on my PC. While Intercasino provides you with both a download and no download versions of the casino, I would highly recommend the full download version as the no-download only offers a fraction of the games but is sufficient if you're looking for a quick fix. The initial download is 525K, which shouldn't be an issue for you, but if it is, CD versions of the casino are conveniently available on request.

Installation of the software and the registration is quick and easy, all you have to do is follow the step-by-step instructions and you should be ready to go in no time at all.

My account has a US$ denomination as the elected currency, but you are able to sign up an account denominated in British Pounds too. I already had a username and password and simply had to login to get started, you will have to set this up within your registration if you're a new player.

Games Offering

The games offering exceeds 60 games at Intercasino and these are available in two formats, firstly there is a standard menu-driven system is used with games grouped by type, e.g. 'video poker' and 'classic video slots', secondly, some of the games are displayed on a virtual gaming floor where various tables and slots are shown and a player simply has to click on the game they'd like to play. Most of the progressives on offer are presented in the latter form in order to display their jackpot amounts, which is always enticing!

I couldn't resist hitting the Slots first this time around. There are quite a number of slots on offer, and some really massive Progressive Jackpots ticking away, waiting to be won. My eye was caught by the heavily advertised Marvel slots on offer, which feature characters from the Marvel comics, being a fan I just had to try these out, especially the Hulk feature slot games, which is probably the most prominently featured slot on the advertising I've seen. The Marvel games turned out to be a very unique and really cool player experience with some wicked bonus features...you just have to try these! In fact I think I could have spent all my time and budget on these if I didn't have to cater to non-slots lovers, so reluctantly I moved on.

There are a number of Classic, Jackpot and Video slots on offer including favorites Rags to Riches, Storm the Castle and Aladdin's Lamp.

On to the table games, I started with my usual favorite Blackjack, of which there are 5 varieties to choose from with betting limits ranging from $2-$2,500. I played at the multi-player tables which are really a lot of fun because they are so interactive and also help to keep you entertained because the game speed is quite slow. I was a little disappointed with the color quality of the games; they tend to be rather dull but not enough to put you off completely. Despite loving Blackjack, after a couple of hands it was clear that it just wasn't my day and I left the table to find something a little "hotter".

I checked out the wide variety of Roulette tables available which include American Roulette, European Roulette, Multi-Player American Roulette, Multi-Player European Roulette or VIP European Roulette. And then briefly tried my hand at a game of 3 Card Poker, which I was really terrible at!

In addition to all of these, there are 8 types of Video Poker as well as Craps, Keno and an unusual game called Red Dog on offer.

After I'd had a brief test run on most of the tables, I had to fight the urge to return to the Marvel slots and decided to cashout but then realize that I had not fulfilled the wagering requirements for the bonus and decided against it, but based on past experience, cashins are usually processed within 4 days although all withdrawals are subject to a $1 processing fee, which is not a lot but still!

Customer Support

Customer support at Intercasino is available via e-mail or toll free support numbers and is highly responsive. The mail I sent them regarding bonus crediting was responded to within 15 minutes although they do send an automated mail prior to this informing you that a response could take up to 4 hours depending on how busy they get, but I really don't see it ever taking this long. I was highly impressed by the speed and quality of their response...just another thing that counts in their favor.

The Verdict

Years of experience definitely show at Intercasino and they are really doing a great job at keeping their players happy and feeling valued...no wonder they are consistently voted Top Casino of the Year!

There are so many plusses like the presentation and variety of games available, unique and engaging ongoing promotions, safe and secure banking, competent and responsive customer support, that you can get over the minor issue of paying a $1 processing fee...I like to think of it as a tip for excellent service all round. You definitely can't miss out on this casino.
