Part of the Casino Rewards group and one of the first licensed Microgaming casinos in the industry, Colosseum Casino was launched in early 1999 and has not only built up a huge player base but also an impeccable reputation over the years.

I’ve played at the is casino many times in the past but having the software loaded on my desktop means that I haven’t visited the actual website in years, and so this review gave me an excuse to do just that.

To be honest, at first glance the homepage doesn’t do anything for me…I guess that with such a colossal name and reputation I just expected a very different, more ornate look and feel. Then feeling brave and unable to resist I set out for the progressive Supajax which was a lot of fun but not as kind to me. I decided to stop before I put a dent in my initial balance and hoped for better luck at the Blackjack Tables.

Once again, there are seemingly hundreds of varieties to choose from. I started out with Spanish Blackjack but after a few hands reverted to the more familiar Atlantic City Blackjack. After a good streak and feeling lucky and brave again, I tried the Multi-hand version, which is relatively fast paced and highly entertaining, but eats into your balance if you’re not careful and play on the higher end of the wagering limits. All in all the game play is smooth and the graphics are excellent!

Next I checked out a few of the other table games like European Roulette Gold and Cyberstud Poker, then headed on to Red Dog, Keno, Sic Bo and Scratch Card. These are more unusual games and not really my cup of tea, so I headed to the good old Vegas Craps tables to test my luck, which was apparently on a roller coaster ride today! For a change I played the Golden Goose Series (yes, all four variations) and then went on to Loaded. For some reason, this game is always lucky for me and I hit an $800 win in less than 10 minutes (jumped up and down for about 5 after that) and finally tried out the new Mega Moolah progressive jackpot which has a minimum payout of $1 million! Here I won $250 after about half an hour and although there are many games I would have loved to have played, I’d been here for a good couple of hours and decided to take my winnings and run!
