Five known online gambling dens in Subang Jaya, a suburban town in Malaysia, were targeted for the third time in simultaneous police raids Friday, and a further 101 computer sets, 18 laptops and other evidence was seized from operators who clearly have little respect for the law.
Police are hoping that this third attempt to shutter the illegal operations (other raids were carried out in February and March this year) will be successful, with the cooperation of local municipal officials.
A police spokesman revealed that in the two previous raids a total of 177 computers and 30 laptops had been seized, making the operations of this illegal enterprise an expensive proposition for the owners.
