Interactive television gambling fans in the Baltic and Scandinavian regions are to benefit from a distribution deal signed this week by subscription television network Elion in Estonia and the UK interactive television games developer Two Way Media.
Elion is a subsidiary of the TeliaSonera telecommunications group, which serves 15 percent of the Estonian digital television market, and will distribute Two Way Media’s IPTV games as well as the games it has created for Turner Broadcasting on its DigiTV platform.
The interactive games services will be available to DigiTV’s audience on a monthly subscription basis and on demand in both Russian and Estonian. This latest deal means an additional 75 400 homes will have access to the games.
“We are always thinking of ways of broadening our service and bringing new, compelling formats to our audience,” said Paul-Kristjan Lilje, Head of Content for Elion. “With Two Way Media’s proven expertise in a very competitive market, we feel confident that its games channels will create great entertainment for our interactive viewers.”
