A Canadian high roller is being sought by Nevada prosecutors this week for failing to pay gambling debts totalling $5 million to state land casinos.
Chief Deputy Clark County District Attorney Bernie Zadrowski revealed to Associated Press that Semion Kronenfeld is being sought on felony theft and bad check charges on a warrant issued last month in the Henderson Justice Court.
Kronenfeld is accused of failing to make good on checks totalling $1.7 million, $2.3 million and $1 million written to the Green Valley Ranch Station casino last October.
Zadrowski says Kronenfeld told the casino in Henderson that he had an investment and real estate business in Toronto. Kronenfeld also spells his last name Cronenfeld.
