London-listed online gambling software provider Playtech plc has signed another major movie and comic heroes deal, this time with Marvel Characters N.V. The agreement covers use of a selection of hit box-office block-busters, including “Iron Man” and “The Fantastic Four”, as well as their sequels, in addition to “The Incredible Hulk”, and the “Blade” and “X Men” trilogies amongst others.
The deal gives Playtech licensees the distribution rights to branded slot games based on the iconic characters of this expansive movie collection of superhero mega-hits.
“We can assure operators that each of the branded slot games we create will offer the excitement and energy of the original movies and generate equally high levels of enthusiasm from the fans, boosting the licensee’s player base significantly,” a Playtech spokesman said this week.
The agreement allows Playtech to promote the games through all media channels. Playtech intends to make the games available as part of its casino games portfolio on casino online, mobile and T.V. platforms, as well as on server-based gaming terminals, via the Playtech subsidiary, Videobet.
Mor Weizer, Chief Executive Officer of Playtech, commented: “Following the overwhelming successes of the Gladiator branded slots Playtech is delighted to have secured this important and extensive deal with Marvel Characters N.V., enabling our licensees to add these incredibly popular, well known brands to their games offering.
“We are confident that this material will maximize licensee profitability, by raising the profile of their games portfolio and further enhancing the gaming experience for the players. Playtech is committed to constantly bring innovative and fresh content to its licensees, enabling them to grow and extend their reach, leading the industry forward.”
