International Game Technology, the parent company of Wagerworks and Million-2-1, has announced a change in its executive structure that will see T.J. Matthews hand the CEO and presidential reins over to Patti S. Hart, although he will continue to be associated with the company in the role of chairman of the board.
Hart will assume her new responsibilities effective April 1st 2009 pending regulatory approvals.
“Hart has served on IGT‘s board of directors since June of 2006 and serves as a director for Korn/Ferry International Inc. and Lin TV Corp,” the company announcement revealed. “She was formerly the chairman and CEO of Pinnacle Systems, chairman and CEO of Excite@Home, was the chairman, president and CEO of Telocity, Inc. and held various positions with Sprint Corporation during her 13 years of employment, including president and chief operating officer of Sprint’s Long Distance Division.”
