A 29-year-old Californian man who is seemingly incapable of staying out of trouble made a serious mistake in visiting a land casino in Las Vegas this week in what is being reported as a “dead man walking” case!
Last September the man faked his own death in a Laguna Beach diving accident in a move police claim was designed to avoid sentencing for other offences that included burglary, theft, forgery and drug charges in Orange County and a drug warrant in Los Angeles County.
Thinking he had successfully convinced everyone of his own demise, the man visited the MGM Grand Casino this week, where he was caught cheating by Nevada Gaming Board officers and his prior record exposed. Plans are now in train for his extradition to Orange County, where he will face additional charges of faking an emergency and gambling fraud.
