US firm to negotiate live dealer action with tribal casinos

The listed mobile gambling technology company Hop-on has entered into a first round of negotiations with US Indian tribal casinos for the supply of its Live Interactive Streaming Gambling software. The company notes that the discussions take place against a backdrop of impending federal legislative attempts in the United States aimed at legalising online casino and poker gambling.
Peter Michaels, President of Hop-on, said this week: “Indian gaming [in the United States] is already licensed. This in turn gives Hop-on and Indian gaming partners a head start in the US gaming Internet industry.
“If Barney Frank’s bill is passed and the current [UIGEA] gambling bill is overturned it will be a process that will take a minimum of one year for international companies to get a gaming license here in the United States.”
Michaels added: “Our economy is struggling. Barney Frank’s projection of the some $52 billion that the online gambling industry could provide for the US over the next decade is a profound turning point in a much needed stimulation to our economy. As usual, Hop-on will be ready, set and one step ahead.”
Hop-on develops and markets wireless phones and accessories for emerging markets and other domestic carriers and is best known for developing the world’s first disposable cell phone. Currently, Hop-on is expanding into value-added services, such as mobile gambling and SMS wagering . Hop-on’s proprietary software will allow users to stream live interactive feed from legal jurisdictions to play poker, blackjack, roulette and baccarat on personal cell phones.
