Microgaming licenses comic book hero Hellboy

The Isle of Man-based online gambling software provider Microgaming today launches its latest flagship video slot, HELLBOY.
Licensed from Dark Horse Comics, the game introduces the iconic action hero to the world of online slots. Created by Mike Mignola, Hellboy is popular with fans, appearing in comic books, DVDs and on the big screen.
The theme has been faithfully translated into a new five reel, 20 pay-line video slot, with a comic book style of presentation. The game features original characters such as Professor Trevor Brutenholm, Johann Krause, Abe Sapien, Liz Sherman and a host of others, all led by the stone-fisted and de-horned red demon, Hellboy.

Hellboy features as the Wild, helping players to win rewarding combinations by substituting other symbols; whilst his oversized stone fist is the Scatter, which triggers the thoroughly entertaining Underworld Bonus. This is a four-level, second screen bonus feature where players have to avoid blocked tunnels in the search for other team members and rewards, encountering beasts along the way.
Players who complete all four levels and reach the Chamber of Fire get the added rewards of the Relic of Power. This exciting feature can also be triggered in Supermode, a randomly awarded Free Spin bonus of ten spins which carry up to three held Wilds.
