Continent 8 Technologies, which provides state-of-the-art, outsourced Internet infrastructure and related managed hosting services to the e-business and e-gaming industries has announced its continued international expansion with the opening of a point of presence (POP) in Paris.
This will be followed shortly by co-location facilities and managed services offered to meet the needs of Continent 8’s growing customer base as the French gaming market opens.
The private network capabilities of the company will be enhanced, as well as additional geographical redundancy for network connections between Europe, North America and Asia, a spokesman said this week. These network improvements form the basis for expansion of Continent 8’s global presence which connects its Data Centres and links France with London, the Isle of Man, Malta, Gibraltar, Singapore, and Kahnawake, near Montreal, through dedicated connections.
In addition to the new POP, the presence in Paris will allow the company to increase its peering agreements in addition to those already established in London and Montreal.
Increasing network capability and diversity allows for continued development of existing products and services such as Disaster Recovery, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection and Content Delivery Network (CDN) services.
Michael Tobin, CEO of Continent 8 Technologies, said “Our investment in network and facilities is to provide our customer’s customers with the best online experience available. As traffic and requirements of our clients increase, Continent 8 is committed to providing leading edge services to meet growing sophisticated demands.”
Continent 8 Technologies specialises in gaming hosting services and its understanding of international licensing means that solutions are bespoke for online gaming industry needs, also providing cross-jurisdictional business and technical solutions to the e-gaming industry.
