Gaming VC sues GTech G2 Group

Brief legal notices from the online gambling operator Gaming VC Tuesday indicate that its relationship with software provider Boss Media and other GTechG2 subsidiaries could be seriously strained.
The matter first surfaced in Gaming VC’s annual results, in which chief executive Kenneth Alexander reported: “Gaming VC is currently in dispute with Boss over an alleged infringement of the Group’s intellectual property.  The Group has made its concerns known to Boss.  If the dispute is not resolved, Court proceedings will be instituted. The dispute is subject to legal, professional privilege.  The Group is also in dispute with Boss over the ability of Boss to terminate a contract for services to the Betaland business.”
Later, the parent company, GVC Holdings plc, issued a statement which announced that Gaming VC Corporation Limited, a subsidiary of the company, had filed a claim for substantial damages in the First Hall Civil Court of Malta against Boss Media Malta Casino Limited, Boss Media AB, St. Minver Limited and GTECH.
“Details of the Claim are publicly available from the Court registry in Malta. Further announcements will be made as and when appropriate,” the statement concluded.
