Beneficial Holdings, a publicly listed company with gambling interests in Nicaragua, and a prolific issuer of media releases, claims in its latest announcement that the launch of a new online gambling website based in Costa Rica and branded Bet.cr is imminent.
The launch appears to be running behind schedule, as earlier this year it was promised for April.
The Beneficial Holdings statement advises that the company will embark on a mass media campaign announcing the launch of its new online poker-casino site, although it contains little hard information on the allegedly proprietary software to be used.
The campaign will focus on European, Asian, Canadian, and Latin American markets, the statement claims, adding that the website should be live by the end of June.
“The company will market cross media via radio, print, cable, direct marketing, and internet with consumer related incentives and bonuses,” the statement advises.
Alex Papic, a vice president in the company, said that all international gaming laws will be followed, and that US players would therefore be excluded.
