One lucky Brit punter is worth Euro 31.7 million more this week than he was last following a gigantic win in a German lottery using the numbers 3, 4, 23, 30, 43 and 44, as well as the bonus number of 6.
The 33-year-old anonymous winner, a played the lottery on the Tipp24.com website, a licensed broker of online lottery betting in Germany providing customers the opportunity to bet on the outcome of a variety of European lotteries – including the EuroMillions.
Ulf Teuber, managing director of Tipp24, said: “We are very happy for our customer. To our knowledge, this is the highest jackpot prize ever won online in the United Kingdom.”
Shares in Tipp24 fell 7.5 percent to the bottom of Frankfurt’s smallcap index .SDAXI, after the company cut its 2009 outlook for earnings before interest and tax to at least Euros 30 million, as spokesmen said the company’s MyLotto24 unit would have to pay out the big lottery win.
