The latest British government report on live bingo makes for dismal reading, indicating that in contrast to a booming online business, the live sector is struggling.
Government statistics indicate that since 1997 the number of bingo halls in Great Britain has fallen from 650 to the current figue of 460. Over the same period, the number of high street [land] casinos, has increased by 27 percent to 140.
However, recent corporate results have suggested that there has been a small upturn in live revenues, although profits are lower.
