Sportingbet extends sponsorship of Wolverhampton Wanderers

The major UK online sports book and gaming operator Sportingbet.com has announced the extension of its existing shirt sponsorship deal with English Premier League football club Wolverhampton Wanderers for a further two seasons.
The deal extends an already existing two year deal signed earlier this year and reportedly the biggest in the club’s 133 year history through to the close of the 2012/13 season.
The seven-figure contract will see Sportingbet’s logo appear on the professional soccer team’s home and away shirts as well as on its training kit.
Jez Moxey, CEO of the football club said: “This is a major off-the-pitch achievement for Wolves.
“The fact that Sportingbet, a global and very successful brand, has decided to extend its deal with a full season still to run on its existing contract is a huge endorsement of our football club. It bucks the trend in football where many clubs are either struggling to retain their sponsor or to secure one at all.
“SportingBet has proved to be a fantastic partner over the last season and we’re delighted our relationship will continue until, at the very least, the end of the 2012/13 season.”
“SportingBet’s partnership with Wolverhampton Wanderers has been a huge success and we are delighted to extend for a further two years,” said Andrew McIver, chief executive of Sportingbet.
“‘Wolves’ fantastic supporters have really engaged with our brand during our first season. The club’s continuing success on the pitch along with its status as an English Premier League side has also resulted in excellent global exposure for our brand.”
