66 in Vietnam court for 188Bet gambling

Vietnam News Service (VNS) reports the appearance of 66 defendants before The People’s Court in Ho Chi Minh City for their alleged involvement in illegal online gambling and 188bet.com (see previous reports).

Gambling ring boss Vuong Chan Thanh (39), the director of Vien Tin International Telecommunications Ltd. Co., is alleged to have headed up the operation which is thought to have processed over $18 million in wagers.

The trial is expected to run until the end of this week.
