The player-influential online gambling information and social networking portal Casinomeister handed out its independent annual awards to the industry this week, naming 32Red Casino the top venue for non-US players for the sixth straight year. The UK-based Club World Group was named as best US-friendly online casino.
32Red picked up an extra award when its operations manager, Pat Harrison, was named Best Casino Manager.
Webmaster Bryan Bailey said that Club USA had met tumultuous times with steadfast customer support and service, responsive management and operations. “They go to the full extreme to ensure their players are taken care of – and when there are issues, the casino’s management is fair and understanding, and settles these issues in the most satisfying way,” he said.
Turning to 32Red, Bailey said: “No doubt about it, 32Red Casino made it to the top again. Like the Energizer Bunny, they keep going and going and going and … well, you get my drift. They have marked the standard most casinos wish to replicate since their launching in 2003.”
The Jackpot Factory Group was awarded the “Best Casino Group Award” for the second time, and Dublin based Cryptologic received the “Best Casino Software” award for the year. “Cryptologic came through this year with their steady yet conservative launching of new products,” Bailey observed. “Highlights this year were King Kong, Street Fighter II, Hulk-Ultimate Revenge, and of course the unique Casinomeister slot, just to name a few.”
At the other end of the scale, Bailey took swipes at sub-standard performers, identifying the now deceased Casino Action Group as the “Worst Blundering Screwup of 2008.”
“Most of us were gobsmacked watching this Microgaming casino group do a tap dance to the tune of “we ain’t got no money,” Bailey remarked. “As they shuffled away with sad faces and a shrug, there were a kagillion players and affiliates left in the cold.”
Other awards include Best Customer Service, Worst Casino, Worst Player Experience, Worst Affiliate Experience, Head in the Sand Award, Stupid Casino Tricks, and more; details at Casinomeister.com.
