In an industry update Monday, 888 Holdings plc advised the filing of a constitutional complaint with the German Federal Constitutional Court following a ruling on appeal by the German Federal Administrative Court which upheld an order prohibiting the provision of online gaming services in the German state of Baden-Württemberg.
The Group said the complaint asserts its position that the ruling of the German Federal Administrative Court infringes its constitutional rights, as well as its rights under EU law (including the freedom to provide services), and should, therefore, be reversed.
