Online gambling operator 888 Holdings has announced the launch of major brands in regulated markets Romania and Denmark following the procurement of licenses from the respective regulators.
The company has been authorised to launch three of its prominent online brands, as part of the business’s ongoing strategy to expand into the regulated gaming market.
888poker, 888casino and 888sport, all of which now operate in several regulated markets across the world, are currently available to Romanian online punters following the launch. An official Danish launch will take place early next week.
Itai Frieberger, chief operating officer at 888 Holdings, said Thursday: “Launching in two regulated markets concurrently is another testimony of our ability to leverage our regulated technology and know-how in delivering our products.”
UK betting group Betfair and the Isle of Man-based Pokerstars were also successful in obtaining Romanian licenses.
