Ukash, the payment system that allows users to buy vouchers with which to make online transactions, has announced a deal with PayByCash which will expand the scope of its vouchers.
The deal allows users who purchase Ukash vouchers valid at any PayByCash client site, by selecting Ukash as their PayByCash payment option and entering their 19-digit voucher number as they would directly through Ukash. PayByCash accepts over 70 different such payment methods and services over 200 online games and virtual worlds, charging a small service fee for each transaction.
Mark Chirnside, CEO of Ukash said: “We are really pleased to work with such an active global payment service as PayByCash. This agreement gives our customers in Europe the choice to use Ukash at a great range of merchants, including some of the most popular online games and communities.”
Ukash’s sales have grown by 140 percent in the past year, and the vouchers are currently offered in 275 000 locations throughout Europe and South Africa.
“We have seen Ukash’s impressive growth in the last 12 months and have no doubt it will be quickly adopted as a payment option by our key audiences, especially the younger population,” said Kevin Higgins of PayByCash. “Likewise, we are also looking forward to introducing Ukash customers to our exciting offering.”
