The Swedish skill games provider Jadestone Networks has announced a long-term game service partnership with Italian online games firm Fueps, which is jointly owned by RCS and Digital Bros, the biggest Italian player in the domestic distribution of videogames and one of the leading distributors in Europe.
Fueps is one of Italy’s top gaming sites with more than one million unique visitors, and has elected to take on Jadestone’s GamArena suite of skill games for the enjoyment of players in Italy and Spain. The games are due to go live in the very near future, a company spokesman confirmed this week.
The deal is unique from a Jadestone perspective in that the business model is different from the usual rake based skill games formula. When the games hit the market, it will be on a customised version of the GamArena platform, where revenues come from subscription fees and advertising instead of rakes.
“Jadestone has a long history of bringing state of the art game services to leading media houses,” said Tobias Nissen, Business Development Director at Jadestone. “With RCS, we get a chance to work with one of the greatest media companies in Southern Europe. This means that our presence in markets like Italy becomes even stronger, so we can look at developing the games local players want.”
“We were looking for great skill games for our Fueps.com game site,” commented Francesco Gaziano, Direttore Generale at Fueps. “With Jadestone, we got gorgeous looking games. We also had the pleasure to work with an extremely effective and service minded development organization when customizing the platform to meet our needs.”
