Specialist gambling software supplier A Bet A has teamed up with Kiron Interactive to offer a new, low-cost virtual games service in the UK and Ireland.
The service, called Betty VC, allows bookmakers to integrate 10 virtual sports including horse racing, dogs, and football in-shop with customised branding.
In addition to the fixed-odds betting markets, it also includes a progressive jackpot pool game, The Punter’s Jackpot, which gives customers the chance to bet into a pool for prizes of around GBP 15,000 from a GBP 1 stake.
A company spokesman said Thursday that the new service will have particular appeal for independent bookmakers, who have until now been priced out of the market for tailored virtual sports products.
The new product requires just an internet connection for deployment, or an optional PC unit for 4k ultra HD displays, and allows retailers to add their own advertising to the game’s screens. It will also include customer-branded, printable race cards to enhance engagement.
Another major advance is that customers are also be able to view the virtual channel on their own smart phones and tablets whilst placing their bets in the shop.
A Bet A Operations Manager Jason Hardman said Thursday in a statement: “Virtual sports have become an increasingly important part of bookmakers’ product mix and we wanted to create a service which offered full functionality while remaining accessible to all retailers.”
