Gaming developer, manufacturer and supplier of casino games, systems and technology, American Gaming Systems (AGS), has announced the acquisition for an undisclosed consideration of social games provider PocketPlay.
The social gaming company has offices in San Francisco and Tel Aviv, and operates the Lucky Play Casino social gaming site.
AGS CEO David Lopez said the acquisition would enable his company to enter the dynamic and quickly growing social gaming market, and was in line with a strategy to establish a successful presence across diverse platforms
The acquisition follows a $461 million deal through which AGS bought Cadillac Jack from Amaya Gaming earlier this year .
The addition of AGS content would enhance the choice of games available on RocketPlay, said its chief executive Mani Honigstein, revealing that integration is already underway. Honigstein will join the AGS management team.
