The Alderney Gaming Control Commission has announced the award of its one hundredth online gambling licence to Relax Gaming Network Limited, a company developing and maintaining casino, bingo and poker software.
Relax has been in the news recently with the upcoming launch on Unibet, Betsson and iGame of its new Fast Poker product
Robin Le Prevost, Alderney’s head of e-commerce, said the century reaffirmed the island’s status as “the place to be” for the online gambling industry, and claimed that the Commission has “very high standards.”
Industry observers and players troubled by the AGCC’s handling of the Full Tilt Poker debacle might disagree with that view, but Le Prevost said that the issue had done no damage to the island’s industry and claimed Alderney had received support from other jurisdictions for the way in which it had acted. He did not identify which jurisdictions he was referring to.
