Montreal-based Amaya Gaming Group (AGG) has entered into a three-year development and licencing deal with Aristocrat Leisure Limited that will allow AGG subsidiary Chartwell Technology to adapt a number of Aristocrat gaming titles for use in online and video lottery terminal applications.
This deal marks another ambitious move from the company as it acquired Chartwell Technology last year and is currently in negotiations for the purchase of Cryptologic.
The Aristocrat content includes well recognised and proven brands titles such as Wild PandaTM, PompeiiTM, and Where’s the GoldTM.
“The online gaming opportunity is becoming increasingly attractive as a number of jurisdictions around the world are considering regulatory changes that would allow new domestic gaming websites to operate,” said Darcy Krogh, vice president of business development of Amaya Gaming Group.
“This agreement strengthens Amaya’s position by supplementing our existing online gaming content with Aristocrat titles which are well known among casino customers worldwide.”
Gillian Findlay, general manager Online Gaming for Aristocrat, added: “Aristocrat’s proven slot content is ideally suited to transition to the online space, as our initial titles have shown. Online gaming is growing rapidly, and Amaya’s strong distribution helps expand the reach for our extensive portfolio to more players.”
