The American Gaming Association has announced that its general counsel and VP industry services, Stacy Papadopoulos (47), will act as CEO until a replacement for departing Geoff Freeman is found.
Our readers will recall that Freeman resigned last month and is to join the Grocery Manufacturers Association on August 1 as CEO and president.
Last week the AGA executive announced the composition of the panel tasked to find Freeman’s replacement, naming:
Tim Wilmott, CEO of Penn National Gaming and chairman of board.
Greg Carlin, co-founder and CEO of Rush Street Gaming;
Trevor Croker, CEO and managing director of Aristocrat;
Mark Frissora, president and CEO of Caesars Entertainment;
Bill Lance, Jr., secretary of commerce of Chickasaw Nation;
Jim Murren, chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts International; and
Ron Reese, SVP, global communications and corporate affairs of Las Vegas Sands Corporation.
