Americans can expect even bigger DraftKings presence following new deal

The already ubiquitous presence of daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings at US stadiums is likely to be boosted even further following an agreement with mobile wifi company SignalShare.

The deal gives the DFS provider access to SignalShare’s “consumer engagement platform”, which uses wireless networks installed at sports stadiums to help advertisers exploit the opportunity to send mobile device messages to spectators within the venue.

SignalShare will display the now well-known DraftKings logo and advertising to spectators who log on to its network during such events, which include both NHL and NBA competitions.

The service will complement DraftKings resources which enable punters to use their mobiles in order to engage in social media action or access sports statistics, a spokesman said. SignalShare’s system will additionally enable DraftKings to see who is viewing its material, and this helps in tailoring content, he said.

“Through this partnership, DraftKings is able to reach and engage with audiences in a way they’ve never been able to before: by appearing directly on fans’ mobile devices when they’re most invested in sports,” said Aaron Dobrinsky, CEO of SignalShare.
