Malta-based by Asia facing sports betting operator ManBetX has agreed a three-year deal to become the official betting partner in Asia for Spain’s La Liga football organisation, commencing with the new season this September.
LaLiga is fast expanding its regional partnerships based on the success of the league in broadcast markets and the popularity of Spanish teams in European competitions, with the two Madrid teams – Real and Atletico – having won the Champions League and the Europa League this season.
Gregory Bolle, head of international marketing at LaLiga, said in a press statement:
“Asia is one of our fastest growing markets, so this partnership will help us engage once more with millions of Asian LaLiga fans. In fact, due to the exceptional sporting results of LaLiga clubs on the European scene, Spanish football continues to be the ultimate reference worldwide and it is logical that LaLiga partner up with a leading and ambitious brand such as ManBetX.”
ManBetX was established in 2007 and currently has 500,000 daily users globally. Spokesman Luis Álvarez-Cervela, said:
“Our deal with LaLiga will help to expand not only the football competition’s brand in Asia, but it will also grow the brand of ManBetX.”
