Teddy Sagi’s SafeCharge International financial powerhouse has partnered with Asian payment services provider 2C2P in a deal which spokesmen say will give Asian retailers access to the European and North American B2C e-commerce markets, estimated at $985 billion a year.

Both companies have integrated each other’s payment services into their own offerings to merchants and retailers.

Aung Kyaw Moe, 2C2P Group CEO, said that the agreement empowers Asian retailers and merchants to connect to the world, providing more avenues for their customers to transact.

“We are committed to expand our payment services, capitalizing on global e-commerce flows,” he said. “In SafeCharge, we have a formidable partner with proven global innovation and insights.”

2C2P processed more than $2.2 billion in transactions in FY2014, growing by over 440 percent year-on-year. In 2015, the company was recognized by CBInsights as one of the world’s top 25 payment startups, with offices in nine countries in Southeast Asia.

SafeCharge CEO David Avgi, said: “The addition of 2C2P’s Southeast Asian-regional payment solutions compliments the company’s current offering, enabling our customers to penetrate more global markets. We are driven to expand our payment suite worldwide, including in Asia, a priority geography for SafeCharge’s strategic long term vision.”
