Asian sports betting operator extends Sunderland FC sponsorship

Online sports betting operator TLC88.com has signed on for a further three years as Asian betting partner for the Sunderland Football Club, taking its association with the club through to 2017.
Sunderland commercial director Gary Hutchinson said the club was building relationships throughout Asia, where the club has enjoyed growing popularity in recent years.
He cited a number of initiatives in the region which have included pre-season trips to South Korea and participation in the prestigious Barclays Asia Trophy in Hong Kong last year.
Mike Chong, TLC88.com’s Asia Pacific strategy director, commented:
“Excitement for Premier League football teams such as Sunderland AFC has grown fast in Asia since we signed our original contract and with frequent promotions, we expect to grow both TLC188 and Sunderland AFC’s international fan bases.”
