Isle of Man software firm Pariplay Ltd has released its latest licensed brand “Atari Black Widow”, an online slot based on the iconic Atari Interactivevideo arcade game.
The original game, released in 1982, saw players manouvering the eponymous spider around its web while shooting various insects to win bonuses.
Pariplay’s 5-reel, 3-payline version includes ‘Seek and Destroy’ wilds and cartoon-style insects armed with automatic weapons, bazookas and grenades, accompanied by a military-style soundtrack and other interesting sound effects.
The slot, which was developed by Pariplay’s in-house development studio, offers free spins and two bonus games along with ‘Turbo Mode’ functionality, enabling players to speed up the action.
This launch is the result of an exclusive strategic partnership between Pariplay and Atari Interactive inked during the second quarter of 2014.
Developed in HTML5, the game is suitable for play on all devices and will be followed by additional Atari-branded slots such as Asteroids, Pong and Tempest later in this first quarter of 2016.
“It’s with great pleasure that we launch Black Widow®, the first in what will be a long line of Pariplay slots combining the brand equity of Atari’s arcade games with our expertise at developing industry-leading casino games for global gaming operators,” said Gili Lisani, chief executive officer of Pariplay Ltd.
