Atari moves into eSports with Bayside Games

Atari® and Bayside Games, Inc. have exclusively partnered for the development of e-sports real-money skill games in cash-game tournament and player vs player modes which are based on iconic Atari games such as Pong, Millipede and Lunar Lander.

The new venture will eventually utilise blockchain technology as development of the offer evolves.

Under the terms of the agreement, Atari will receive guaranteed minimum royalties and a 15 percent stake in Bayside Games.

“Bringing Atari’s iconic games to our platform is ideal,” added Joshua Barrow, President and CEO of Bayside Games. “We want to offer fun and simple, addictive gameplay that players can make money with. The classic titles of Atari make it possible to meet this strong demand.”

Atari titles are scheduled for launch in the second half of 2018 across the PC, Mac, iOS and Android platforms.
