Atlantis Internet Group (ATIG), in partnership with Wiki Betting, will enter the social gaming market with a sportsbook exchange operation on Facebook.
ATIG is the operation behind the Tribal Gaming Network (TGN) that offers intranet gaming for Indian casinos in around 28 U.S. States.
Its newest initiative, via an app made available on the TGN, allows players to buy Facebook chips with real money for wagering on any sporting event in the world, a statement said.
Instead of cashing out winnings for real money, players accumulate Facebook chips to spend on on-line entertainment and other items, such as non-transferable casino comps from the sponsoring Tribal Casino.
“The Sportsbook Exchange gives players in Indian casinos in 28 States the feeling of betting on live sportsbook,” said Donald L. Bailey, Founder, chief executive officer and Chairman of ATIG.
“This is a significant first in Internet gaming. Indian tribes now gain the opportunity to participate in the $40 billion international Internet gaming market — and now the up-and-coming social gaming market.”
