Does Atlantic City property developer have online gambling ambitions?

News on 21 Mar 2017

The recent launch of the GAN-powered TEN social casino website has renewed speculation that Florida property development mogul Glenn Straub – the businessman who bought the failed Revel Casino in Atlantic City for a relative song several years ago – may have wider online gambling ambitions.

TEN already holds a New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement transactional waiver to offer real-money online gambling in conjunction with a licensed New Jersey casino, but Straub has delayed opening up the expansive Revel property again due to a bitter argument with Atlantic City authorities over licensing.

Local observers are of the view that the launch of the social casino site Play.TenACNJ.com is probably the precursor for a venture into real-money online gambling, if TEN can acquire the licensing Straub seeks to act as the land partner.
