The latest New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement numbers on land gambling revenues at Atlantic City casinos shows another disappointing performance, with June revenues down 12.6 percent compared with the same period last year.
June revenues totalled $240.2 million, with slot winnings down 11 percent to $179.1 million, while table games revenue declined by 16 percent to $61.1 million.
The continued decline in Atlantic City revenues is attributed to competition from neighbouring states and the weak U.S. economy, but these were exacerbated by a rainy and overcast month.
