Live dealer provider Evolution Gaming has announced the release of its second baccarat variant this year, titled Baccarat Controlled Squeeze.
The new game is the latest addition to the company’s Live Baccarat range launched earlier this year and gives baccarat fans a second variation of their game; in Live Baccarat Squeeze the dealer is in charge of the squeeze and in Live Baccarat Controlled Squeeze the players take control over the squeeze.
The games are available on desktop and mobile devices and are streamed from a multi-HD custom-designed camera table in Evolution’s Riga studios.
The table offers glass panel inlays in the table top and apart from the main above-table camera, two cameras are positioned under the table. As the game begins, cards are dealt face-down onto the glass panels and the under-table cameras show close-up images of the card faces to the player’s screen.
The card faces are hidden by optical filters and an overlay mask is built into the game’s UI. Players must click or tap on any edge of each card to get rid of the overlay mask and to reveal the card value. The game also gives players a chance to practise the squeeze without the need to place a bet.
Evolution’s creative director, Richard Hadida, said in a launch statement Thursday:
“The ritual of the squeeze is such a special part of the game of Baccarat for so many players, particularly VIPs and those looking for a Macau-like Baccarat experience.
“Baccarat is the most popular speciality casino card game in the world in terms of the amount wagered. As we have seen with our initial Live Baccarat Squeeze product, the authentic replication of the squeeze in a live online version of Baccarat is highly effective in attracting high-wagering Baccarat enthusiasts.
“This latest squeeze variant extends player choice and allows our licensees to maximise their opportunities in this incredibly exciting and specialised area of the Live Casino market.”
