Top US gambling content and machine developer Bally Technologies is enhancing its development capability significantly through a multi-year partnership with Unity Technologies, a San Francisco-based middleware developer, the companies announced Tuesday.
Unity’s solution is widely used by slot manufacturers and online gambling companies to create compelling interactive gambling content. The Unity developer community is more than 1.5 million developers strong and includes thousands of game studios across the world, both large and small, a company spokesman said.
By combining the power of the Unity engine with the breadth and depth of Bally Technologies’ offerings, Bally will be able to build the most innovative electronic gaming offerings on the market, he claimed.
Derik Mooberry, senior vice president of games at Bally Technologies said of the Unity deal: “We look forward to using the Unity solutions to help continue our innovation and development of highly entertaining game content for casino operators and players.”
Unity Technologies is headquartered in San Francisco and has offices in Canada, China, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Japan, Korea, Lithuania, Singapore, Sweden, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.
