Bobby’s Room, the 37-table live poker facility at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, is famous the world over for its ambience and action, and the casino resort is about to share this with a wider audience thanks to modern streaming technology and the Twitch channel.
Starting April 26 the action will be streamed from the ‘BellagioPOTS’ Twitch page in what seems to be a relatively short trialling initiative scheduled to end May 24 until “after the summer”.
In a Twitter post, the Bellagio announced that steaming will take place every Wednesday evening at 7pm PST on a schedule that includes:
April 26: $2-$5-$10 No-Limit Hold’em ($500-$2,000 buy-in)
May 3: $2-$5-$10 No-Limit Hold’em ($500-$2,000 buy-in)
May 10: $2-$5-$10 No-Limit Hold’em ($500-$2,000 buy-in)
May 17: $2-$5-$10 No-Limit Hold’em ($500-$2,000 buy-in)
May 24: $10-$20 No-Limit (possibly bigger) ($800-$5,000 buy-in)
Named after 1978 World Series of Poker champion and casino executive Bobby Baldwin, Bobby’s Room plays host to some of the biggest games in the world, and attracts some of the biggest players in the game.
The Bellagio has kept pace with modern developments and runs live tournaments with online companies like World Poker Tour.
The company’s latest live poker streaming initiative represents a first for the Las Vegas Strip.
