Ladbrokes subsidiary Betdaq (bought for Euro 30 million back in 2013) has inked a starting stall sponsorship agreement covering up to 1,000 races at UK racecourses in 2018 with Arena Racing Company (ARC) .
The deal allows BETDAQ’s brand to be shown on starting stalls at any unsponsored flat meeting on ARC racecourses, including live races across the summer on At The Races and Sky Sports with their Winning Post Live programme.
Shane McLaughlin, managing director of Betdaq, said in a statement Thursday: “Betdaq is pleased to enter into this partnership with Arena Racing for the remainder of the 2018 flat season. Branding their starting stalls will enable us to further deliver the 2 percent value commission message and build on the positive momentum and goodwill the brand has been receiving from the racing fraternity over a number of months.”
ARC, created in 2012 by the merger of Arena Leisure and Northern Racing, is owner of 12 turf tracks and four all-weather racecourses across the UK.
David Leyden Dunbar, director of partnerships at ARC, said: “Each of our flat tracks are looking forward to working with the team at Betdaq to ensure we help promote the betting exchange across this summer’s flat racing.”
