Swansea City Football Club (Swans) has clinched a shirt-front sponsorship deal with Asian online betting firm BETEAST for the 2016/17 season.
Described as a “club record deal,” BETEAST will replace previous sponsor GWFX on the front of all adult shirts for the new campaign, while all children’s shirts will be logo free due to advertising legislation.
As well as official shirt sponsor, BETEAST will also become the club’s official Asian betting and gaming partner.
“As a club we are looking forward to helping BETEAST grow their brand internationally,” Swans vice-chairman and commercial director Leigh Dineensaid. “Competing within the best league in the world, the potential exposure will allow BETEAST to position themselves on a global stage in the top tier of bookmakers”.
In line with BETEAST’s European expansion aspirations, the operator has launched a new website developed in partnership with TGP Europe, which is focused on the UK market.
“This is BETEAST’s first venture into British football and the next step in a sponsorship strategy that will aim to make the brand present in top sporting events around the world,” a spokesperson said.
“We will be working hard to bring our customers a first-class selection of products and an enhanced gaming experience which I’m sure supporters will enjoy.’’
