English Premier League football club Aston Villa has entered into a co-exclusive betting partnership with Betfair and bet365.
The deal, in which both firms will feature on the club’s LED screens and interview backdrops, represents a “significant commercial increase on last year’s betting partnership” a club statement revealed.
Charlie Wijeratna, Aston Villa’s chief commercial officer, said: “Commercially the club has two aims – we want to partner with good brands that will activate extensively and we want to increase our commercial revenues so we can compete with the best on the pitch.”
In related news, Tipico Sportwetten has partnered FC Bayern München as an official platinum partner for a further four years and Asian-focused operator TLCBet signed its first jersey sponsorship with the English Premier League’s West Bromwich Albion as principal partner for the 2015-16 season.
