Rumours that the UK online gambling group Betfair, probably in partnership with Trump Plaza, has ambitions in the New Jersey online gambling market received a boost this week when the company launched preparatory initiatives clearly revealing its intentions.
Under the banner “Lets Play NJ” the betting company launched Twitter and Facebook communication channels and introduced placeholder and early sign-up websites on the internet at http://www.letsplaynj.com/ and http://betfairnj.com/.
The websites leave visitors in no doubt about Betfair’s plan to be part of the November 26 launch of legalised intrastate internet gambling in New Jersey, and provides players and other interested parties with a facility to register for updates as it progresses through the licensing process.
The company posts the obvious caveat that its participation in the market is contingent on gaining the approval of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
