Betfred Australia’s mobile sports betting product has gone live offering betting on AFL, NRL, Basketball, Soccer, EPL, American Football, Cricket and Tennis.
The mobile offer is the first foray for Betfred in the Australian market, where the company currently holds a regional sports betting licence awarded by the Northern Territory Gaming Commission.
The Australian operation is headed up by managing director Luke Brill, who previously served as global head of marketing and gaming at Centrebet, global marketing director/UK managing director at Game Bookers and head of PR at Sports.com
“This is the first of a multi-phased approach to the Australian market,” Brill said. ““The mobile site will soon be followed by stand-alone apps for both Android and Apple for sports, rugby league, Australian rules football and Lotto.”
