UK bookmaker BetFred will be the title-sponsor for the World Snooker Championship for the next three-years.
The 2015 championship will run from April 18 to May 4 at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield and offers a top prize of GBP 300,000.
According to the World Snooker organisers, 2014’s championship attracted an audience in excess of 330 million TV viewers in 80 different countries.
This is not Betfred’s first foray into the world of snooker, having previously sponsored the tournament from 2009 to 2012.
“We are thrilled to welcome back Betfred as title sponsor of our blue riband tournament and we look forward to working closely with their team on delivering another top class event,” commented Barry Hearn, World Snooker Chairman.
