BetSoft’s next game has a familiar theme

Online gambling games developer BetSoft has taken the unusual step of issuing a statement outlining the back-story for its next big online slot release (believed to be scheduled for July 24).

The company has revealed that its new Fire and Steel slot will be based on a theme in which rival royal siblings go to war for the crown of a fantasy medieval nation following the assassination of the Queen. That has a sort of Game of Thrones ring to it, with characters like Shieldmaiden and Swordsman, who have magical powers.

Their long and bitter rivalry is brought to a halt by the arrival of fantastical Black Dragons which lay waste to both armies, forcing the survivors to come together to combat their formidable common enemy.

The game itself is multi-featured with sticky wilds, multipliers and free spins, and it is carried on BetSoft’s Shift platform, which uses the power of HTML5 technology to create smoother, high definition animations and more secure gameplay with drastically reduced file sizes.

With epic fantasy being popular in the current mainstream culture, BetSoft expects will capture the imagination of players, leading to expanded game-play.
