Betsson subsidiary Triobet has been awarded a Latvian license to operate within that market.
“When outdated legal structures and old monopolies are dismantled great favorable conditions for long-term profitable growth are created,” commented Ulrik Bengtsson, president and chief executive officer of Betsson AB.
“Our strategy is to increase the proportion of sustainable revenue by participating in local licensing procedures as well as increasing strong growth both organically and by acquiring companies in local regulated markets.”
Triobet will pay gaming taxes of 10 percent on gross gaming revenue under the Latvian licensing regime, saying it is a taxation level that guarantees high channeling and a sustainable system.
