Betvictor’s new owner nixes Sun Bets deal

BetVictor’s deal to provide sports betting services through a white label operation for Sun Bets (see previous  reports) has reportedly been abandoned following ownership and management changes at BetVictor, which was taken over by Michael Tabor last month.

The agreement would have provided betting services to around six million Sun newspaper readers, an ambition that The Sun intends to continue pursuing with a fresh tender seeking a partner.

In a statement Friday the newspaper commented that it remained committed to providing an online and mobile sports betting service to its readership, which it claimed included half of Britain’s online punters.

“Britain’s most popular paper is the number one choice of more than half the UK’s online gamblers, so we are always seeking ways of strengthening our sports offer to them,” the statement claimed.
