Online sports betting and casino operator Betway has engaged former England rugby star Mike Tindall MBE as its ambassador, a shrewd move on the run-up to this year’s World Cup rugby championship.
In 2003 Tyndall was a member of the English team that won the global competition, held every 4 years and involving teams from rugby nations around the world.
In a colourful career 36-year-old Tyndall, who is married to Zara, daughter of the Princess Royal, has captained the England side, and between 2000 and 2011 earned 75 international test caps, along with numerous on-field injuries.
A formidable centre, he has played both club and international rugby and continues to be closely associated with the sport as both player and coach.
Betway CEO Richard Akitt revealed this week that Tyndall will feature in the company’s advertising and promotional campaigns across multiple media platforms. He will also act as Betway ambassador in media and social engagements on the approach to the World Cup and next year’s Six Nations Rugby.
